The world's stupidest man has revealed himself

Get off the stage, sweetheart.

WE’VE ALL ENCOUNTERED some terrible behaviour at the cinema or in the theatre. But this is on a whole other level.

Chris York was in the audience at the Broadway play Hand To God last week, and witnessed something truly astounding on stage. But it wasn’t the play itself. Oh no.

He wrote on Facebook:

I saw an audience member climb onto the stage right before the show and plug his cellphone into a (fake) electrical outlet on the set. ON. THE. SET. The crew had to stop the pre-show music, remove the cellphone, and make an announcement as to why you can’t do that.

Yeah. That happened.

I am a quiet and reserved person and I took great joy in loudly heckling the idiot when he returned to take his phone back. Common sense - [has it] really fallen that far?

Two of the cast members also tweeted their incredulity at the incident:

How about we all agree that our phones aren’t completely necessary at Broadway shows, or even in the cinema? That’d be great.
